As part of marking the International Day of the Girl-Child celebration on the 11th of October, Miss Nigeria under our parent company, the Green Girl Company Ltd (GGCL) organized its first ever Raising Girls Summit in Lagos at the Incubator Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The Green Girl Company has been successful in boosting the morale of more than 2000 young girls, giving them more reasons to believe and work towards their own success in any field they find themselves.
The summit was themed “Raising Girls for a brighter future” and various topics such as “raising girls to be healthy and confident”, “raising girls to be aware and strong”, “raising girls to be educated and empowered” were discussed.
The speakers that were present include; Nimi Akinkugbe(founder, Bestman Games), Linda Ikeji (Enterpreneur and blogger), Julie Okah-Donli (Director General, NAPTIP), Eugene Meyer (SYNLAB), Roland Kayanja (UNESCO), Mercy Makinde (Amazing Amazon Initiative) and a host of others.

The Raising Girls’ Summit is going to be an annual event and it will be holding on the 9th of October next year (2020) at the Eko Hotel and Suites, located in Victoria Island Lagos. The Green Girl Company will be targeting 5000 young girls, with the aim of girl empowerment.
